FAQs

Below, please find frequently asked questions (FAQs) and their answers for Agewell Medical Associates.

Q. How do I refill my prescriptions?

A. Please allow 24 hours for all prescription requests to be processed. To avoid a disruption in your treatment, a good rule of thumb is to start the refill process when you have 7-10 days of medication left. If you require prescription refills between office visits, please call your local pharmacy first and they will contact us for more refills.

If a written prescription is required, please call our office with the name, strength, and quantity of the medication and tell us if you are picking it up or want it mailed to you. Unless specified, we will send it electronically to your pharmacy.

Q. Do you offer Urgent Care?

A. When you have an urgent medical need that is not life threatening, we want you to call us first. We are available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A call to us can avoid an unnecessary, costly emergency department visit and we can advise you as to the best course of action.  Also, please call us before you drive down without having an appointment. We can better serve you if we can schedule an appointment for you.
